what is reiki and How does Reiki Heal??

My Today's  topic  is What is Reiki and how does Reiki Heal?
'REI' means  universal or Transcendental power and 'KI' means life force.This life force energy is imbibed in us from our birth. We are born with it and we live with it. It is the best energy in the world.Reiki is not a religion. It is neither asect nor a class.it is not connected  with any evil spirit or occult. It is not a negative power.Reiki is simply loving and healing energy. One can only experience the healing effects it has upon the channel. No mental  or physical  preparation is necessary tolearn reiki. It requires only will a desire to learn. Reiki is not faith ,reiki is not beliefs, reiki is not a mins control, Reiki is not a psychic healing. Each individual is eligible to attain it.each one can learn it.while some other systems the individual has to become expert first which is possible only for a few.All cannot become experts. Reiki is useful for self treatment also whereas in other systems the patient has to depend on others for treatment. Some systems cure the illness for the time being but not permanently. The Reiki not only cures the disease permanently but also provides sound health. 
In most cases the patient takes medicine for a disease. After some times the the effects of medicine is reduced, so higher doses are given. The higher doses give side effects resulting in other illnesses. This  doesn't happen with the reiki. The reiki provides only the benefits to patients. Even  when the benefits is not observed or experienced it doesn't give any side effects.The reiki therapy treats the root cause of the illness and also the 'pransharir' and the 'Manomay sharir' .This results in complete cure of illness.
